Dr. Beneragama is registered and licensed to practice cosmetic and plastic surgery in the Sri Lanka and is a member of the ASPS in Australia and ASPS in America. 

As one of the top plastic surgeons in Sri Lanka, Dr. Thushan has extensive experience of all cosmetic surgery procedures. He graduated from medical school in Sri Lanka in 1994 and qualified in Surgery in 2001. He subsequently spent over 3 years working in Australia with some of the country’s top plastic surgeons. He trained as a fellow in Hand Surgery at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Adelaide, (Au) and Hand and Microsurgery the Royal Children’s Hospital and Alfred Hospital, Melbourne. He then returned to the Adelaide and joined the Plastic  and  Reconstructive  Surgery team at the  Queen  Elizabeth Hospital.

His clinic practice in Colombo focuses on surgical repair of deformities resulting from skin cancers caused by the solar radiation, as well as hair transplantation, adult and child hand surgery and microsurgery.

His area of focus for cosmetic surgery is breast reduction, breast, augmentation, mastopexy, fat transfer to breast, gynaecomastia surgery (male breast reduction), abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), Liposuction (Fat transfer to Buttocks – Brazilian buttock lift) and Asian and Caucasian Aesthetic Surgery (blepharoplasty, ptosis correction, facelift, augmentation rhinoplasty and otoplasty).

Dr. Thushan believes in extensive research and evidence-based medicine, unparalleled academic training and teaching along with compassionate care for patients. He regularly attends international meetings to keep abreast of the latest developments in plastic surgery in order to provide the best for his patients.
