Male Liposuction – Stubborn fat

Liposuction surgery is used to remove stubborn pockets of fat from specific areas of the body, it is not a weight loss surgery. For many men exercise and diet alone cannot shift certain areas of fat around the chest, abdomen, legs, chin and other areas of the body, which can be a knock to your body confidence.

Liposuction surgery, also known as fat removal, can be used to remove excess fatty tissue and sculpt the area to ensure it is smooth, tight, and looks as you wish it to. Liposuction can be used to remove fat from almost any area of the body and is used to reduce the appearance of “man boobs or moobs” during male chest reduction surgery.

Most common treatment areas for men are liposuction for:

• Tummy (Stomach / abdomen)
• Chest
• Back
• liposuction Neck / chin

Liposuction is not designed as a weight loss treatment or to tackle obesity. People who fall into this category will need to seek advice from their GP.  Prior to your consultation your BMI (body mass index) will be assessed, this will help the surgeon determine your suitability.  Normally up to 4 – 6 litres of fat can be removed, but you should be within two stone of your target healthy weight or normal range of a BMI.

An overnight stay is required for larger areas down under a general anaesthetic. However, clients often return to normal activity after a week to 10 days following the procedure.

All of the male liposuction procedures generally require a few days to a week off work and for a compression garment to be worn for 3 to 4  weeks following the procedure to assist with the healing process.
