Male Eye Lid or Eye bags

The blepharoplasty is more commonly known as eye bag removal surgery or eyelid surgery is a procedure in which the excess skin and fat surrounding the upper and lower eyelids are removed so that the eyes do not appear drooped or hooded. The results of this procedure will leave you with a fresh and younger looking face.

Both men and women consider this procedure to remove droopy eyelids or hereditary puffiness under the eyes, in turn, waking up a tired face and creating a brighter, happier expression. If you suffer from glaucoma or dry eyes, you must consult an eye specialist or ophthalmologist, before considering the procedure.

Male eye bag removal is performed under local  anaesthetic. If you choose lower lid surgery, an incision is made under the lower lashes or inside the eyelid, where excess tissue is removed. With upper eyelid surgery, an incision is made along the natural crease of the eyelid where surplus tissue is then taken away.

It is advised to wear sunglasses when outside for the first 1 to 2 weeks, as it will help protect the area from UV rays and yourself from touching the treated area, as it must be kept clean and dry during this time.  There may be bruising and swelling during this period, so you can wear your sunglasses in public if you need to out.

The blepharoplasty procedure usually requires a day care procedure or if you wish an overnight stay in the hospital if it is done under a general anaesthetic. One week off work is advised to recover. However, the majority of clients return to work between 7 and 14 days after surgery, once the bruising has reduced and swelling has gone down.
